What this site is
An information website for VR1 Associates, a consultancy at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, advising on Customs, GST, special economic zones and foreign trade. The site describes the practice and provides general information about procedure under those laws. Nothing is sold on this site and no payment is taken on it.
Nothing here is advice
The pages, notes and tools on this site are general information. They are not advice on any matter, they are not a substitute for reading the provision that applies to your facts, and they do not take account of your circumstances. Using this site, reading a note, or running one of the calculators does not create a consultant and client relationship with VR1 Associates. That relationship begins only when an engagement is agreed in writing.
The tools
The limitation calculator, the appeal planner and the compliance calendar apply periods and percentages taken from the Acts, rules and policy documents named on each result. They are version stamped, and the version and the date the rule set was compiled are shown with every answer.
These are computational aids. They do not know the relevant date in your matter, whether an extension has been notified, whether a different provision applied for the year in question, or how the department has computed the position. Periods, rates and procedures in this field change frequently by notification and by amending Act. Verify every figure against the provision in force before relying on it. VR1 Associates does not accept liability for a decision taken on the output of a tool without that verification.
Enquiries
Submitting an enquiry does not create an engagement, and it does not oblige VR1 Associates to accept a matter. Please do not send confidential material or documents through the enquiry form. Information sent before an engagement is in place may not be treated as privileged or confidential, and sending it may create a conflict that prevents us from acting.
Intellectual property
The text, design, mark and tools on this site belong to VR1 Associates, other than statutory material, which is in the public domain. You may read, print and share pages for your own use and quote from them with attribution. Republishing the content, or reproducing the tools, requires written permission.
External links
Links to government portals and other external sites are provided for convenience. VR1 Associates does not control them and is not responsible for their content or availability.
Availability
The site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we may change or withdraw any part of it without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law permits, VR1 Associates is not liable for any loss arising out of use of this website or reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, and nothing in them excludes or restricts any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gandhinagar, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of this website or these terms.
Grievances
If something on this site or in the way an enquiry was handled needs to be raised, the route is on the grievance page, with the person responsible, the timelines, and the escalation.
Changes to these terms
The version and effective date at the top of this page change whenever the terms do. Continued use of the site after a change means the revised terms apply.
