This page states plainly what VR1 Associates is, what it does, and the limits of everything published on this website. It is written to be read rather than to be scrolled past.
What VR1 Associates is
A regulatory and foreign trade consultancy. The firm advises on Customs, GST, special economic zone and foreign trade matters, analyses positions, prepares submissions and replies, and assists clients in presenting and appealing matters before the authorities.
What VR1 Associates is not
- Not a law firm. VR1 Associates is not a firm of advocates and does not hold itself out as one. It does not appear as counsel before any court or tribunal, and nothing on this site should be read as an offer to do so.
- Not a firm of chartered accountants. It does not carry out statutory audit, tax audit, or any attestation or certification reserved by law to a chartered accountant.
Where a matter requires either, we say so and work alongside the professional concerned rather than around them.
No advice, and no relationship
Everything on this website is general information about how these laws and procedures work. It is not advice, it is not tailored to anyone's facts, and no consultant and client relationship arises from reading it, from using a tool, or from sending an enquiry. That relationship begins when an engagement is agreed in writing.
No outcome is promised
Nothing on this site is a representation about the result of any matter. Outcomes in this field depend on facts, documents, the authority and the forum, and nobody can honestly promise one. Where this site describes an approach as preventive, that describes how the firm works. It is not a guarantee that a dispute will be avoided.
About the experience described
The statement that the firm is led by people with more than thirty five years of departmental experience is a fact provided by VR1 Associates about its own people. Individual profiles and credentials are published on the about page once confirmed, and until then that section says so rather than filling itself with invented detail.
About the tools and the rule set
The calculators on this site run on a table of statutory periods compiled on a stated date and marked with a version. Provisions in this area are amended by Finance Acts and by notification through the year, and filing dates are extended frequently. Where a period has changed recently, the result carries a marker asking you to confirm it. Verify against the bare provision before acting. The tools are aids to a conversation, not a substitute for one.

This website is not an advertisement or a solicitation of work. It is published so that a business trying to understand a notice, a deadline or a scheme can find accurate general information, and so that anyone considering engaging the firm can see how it works before they call.
